Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium is welcoming two special guests this Tuesday, Oct. 4. After days of rumors, confirmation has come that Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will take the stage for a surprise 7:30pm concert.
Speculation began to stir this past Friday, Sept. 30 when a concert listing for Sam & Audrey was found on the Ryman’s website. McGraw and Hill’s given names are Samuel Timothy and Audrey Faith. Hill’s manager initially wouldn’t address the rumors. However, McGraw spilled the beans this morning on The Bobby Bones Show.
Tickets went on sale at 10:00 a.m. CST, selling out by 10:12 a.m. Hundreds of fans were lined up outside the venue an hour prior with hopes of snagging the bargain $20 tickets. According to the Tennessean, those who were able to purchase tickets preserved the moment with selfies.
This is a historical moment in the careers of both McGraw and Hill. Their performance will mark the first time playing together at the Ryman. The show also kicks off a busy week for the couple. Not only will they be celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary this Thursday, Oct. 6, but they will also join a slew of other country icons with an induction into the Music City Walk of Fame on Oct. 5.
The couple has collaborated numerous times, including the hits “It’s Your Love,” “Just To Hear You Say That You Love Me” and most recently “Meanwhile, Back at Mama’s.”
They also co-headlined their Soul2Soul Tour back in 2000 and the Soul2Soul II Tour from 2006-2007. McGraw and Hill have also dabbled a bit in the Las Vegas spotlight with their Soul2Soul Regency shows.
