A TikTok star named Nahsiyah Turner tragically died in a shooting outside a Southern California mall on Saturday, January 18. Turner, who had hundreds of thousands of followers, was only 17. After police arrived at the scene, they found Turner unresponsive with a gunshot wound on her chest.

According to CBS News, police arrived at Los Cerritos Center shopping mall at around 7:30 p.m, Nahsiyah Turner was found unresponsive inside a vehicle and was quickly rushed to a local hospital.
Lit. Steve Dejong, of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau, talked briefly with the Griffin Gazette about the case. "Deputies from the Cerritos station responded to the parking lot of the Cerritos mall in regards to a gunshot victim call," DeJong said. "When they got there, they observed a female juvenile, 17 years old, with a gunshot wound."
However, she was pronounced dead at the hospital. PEOPLE confirms that police are currently investigating the homicide and the motive behind Turner's death. "As far as the context and investigation, I can't elaborate," DeJong concluded. "This investigation is going to go on for a while."
Siyah Tributes
While the investigation continues, fans have paid their respects to Nahsihay Turner on TikTok. Most notably, her last video that showed her dancing was flooded with fans offering their condolences and lamenting her death.
"She was always smiling dancing on my fyp rest in peace baby," one user wrote. "This was her last TikTok rip #siyah we going to miss you forever," another used wrote. A third one said: "I get on TikTok & this the first video on my feed. Rest easy pretty girl."
Additionally, many of Turner's fans and friends gathered to pay tribute to the TikTok star. In a small memorial, fans displayed her pictures alongside some lit candles, flowers, and a signed poster. Similarly, a video showed multiple fans releasing white, silver, and purple balloons into the air. As they were releasing the balloons, the fans began saying, "Love you, Sihay."
As of now, Nahsiyah Tuner has more than 311,000 followers on TikTok and close to 40,000 on Instagram. All her posts and videos have been flooded with fans mourning her death.
