TikTok star Dominique McShain has been documenting her battle with cancer, spreading awareness of the disease. However, she has finally passed away at the age of 21.

When Dominique McShain was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, she was told that she wouldn't have long to live by doctors. So, in an effort to spread awareness and celebrate the life she had left, she began posting her story on social media.
People have been able to follow along with her journey through various treatments and life experiences. She has travelled, spent time with her family, and even got married during that time. However, on April 6th, she updated her Instagram with her final goodbye before her death.
"I want to be direct with you all: this will be my final update on my cancer journey until I have passed away." Dominique McShain shared about her cancer diagnosis. "I've recently been given a prognosis about 5 days ago of only a few days to a few weeks to live. My liver is failing rapidly to the point of jaundice, and the cancer is progressing quickly."
This was her final update on either TikTok or Instagram. The exact date of her death is unknown, but it is presumed that she passed away only days later.
A Morbid TikTok Tale To Follow
Looking through her past videos and posts on social media, it's tragic to see the young woman slowly deteriorate. She spent her final year or so doing things she loved. But knowing that she only had months to live sheds a dark shadow over it all.
Dominique McShain knew she wouldn't have long to live, but her final diagnosis still came as a shock. "The oncologists have now estimated I have less than a year left, and it's likely to be only months. This came much sooner than anyone anticipated, and the reality is crushing. I had hoped for many more years, but that now seems out of reach."
Her cancer developed quickly, and there was little they could do for Dominique McShain towards the end. Her fight with cancer was watched by thousands, and she helped spread awareness in a very morbid but important way.
