United States President Donald Trump and his administration have found themselves in hot water to kick off the week.

According to a Monday (September 21) report from the New York Post, the President and his administration are being sued. By three major news publications.
Trump Administration Sued By CNN, MS Now, and Politico
CNN, MS Now and Politico have taken legal action against Trump and his administration. Because they had been officially banned from White House Grounds.
"This morning, we notified the government that we are filing a lawsuit today. To protect our First Amendment rights. And defend the principle that the government does not decide what the press reports or publishes." The outlets said in a joint statement (via New York Post)
The statement also challenges the ethics behind the White House's decision. It notes that banning them from reporting on the news coming out of the Oval Office threatens freedom of the press.
"Without notice or process, the White House revoked our journalists' credentials because it objected to our reporting," the statement continues. "Left unchallenged, this threatens press freedom and the public's right to independent journalism free from government interference."
On Friday (September 18), Trump and his administration announced that CNN, Politico, and MS Now had been banned "effective immediately." And cited that the decision came down because he felt that the outlets' "cumulative stories over the last two years" were reporting "fake news."
In response to the lawsuit, Trump doubled down on his stance. He also called the prevalence of fake news a "cancer in our beloved United States."
"The White House is not instituting an assault on the Free Press, something which I cherish," he wrote in a post on Truth Social. "It is instituting an assault on the FAKE NEWS. Something that has grown like Cancer in our beloved United States of America. It is corrupt, purposeful, pervasive, fully coordinated, and totally out of control!"
