Thomas Rhett has big plans for the upcoming warm months. The father of four shares what he plans on doing this summer, and it sounds like a dream come true.

"I love summer for so many different reasons," Rhett reveals. "That's the time where we get to tour. We get to play outside. We get to play festivals. And when we do have a little bit of vacation. We get to go down to the beach with my family. We just love the beach. We love getting in the water. We love riding boogie boards, skimboarding, paddle boarding, looking for crabs at night, building fires on the beach. There is nothing better than a summer on the beach with your kids."
It's because of Rhett's four daughters that both he and his wife, Lauren Akins, remain so active.
"It's not like I'm old or anything," the 35-year-old says. "But my wife and I definitely took getting in shape really seriously. My wife has always avoided the gym at all costs. And so, her and I decided to start working out together. Honestly, just to be in good shape for my kids has been a really driving motivation, especially as they start to play basketball and play soccer."
"I wanna be able to get in the yard when I'm 65 and be able to kick a soccer ball around," he adds. "Or throw the football around with my grandkids."
The One Thing Thomas Rhett Won't Do With His Family
Rhett loves to bring his family on tour, and he loves to go on vacation with them. The one thing he won't do is join them on a reality TV show, even though that has been offered to him multiple times.
"Honestly, we've been asked a bunch of times to do a reality show," Rhett explains. "But I just don't think that's something me and Lauren -- I mean, we give enough of ourselves, I think, on social media. And we pretty much open our home and our marriage to our fans in a way where it's like, you see the good, bad, the ugly."
In addition to time at the beach, Rhett has plenty of dates on the calendar this summer, including a headlining show at Boston's Fenway Park on July 19.
