Celebrities have a history of bringing home the most unusual pets. Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo have two pet cows, Crunch and S'more. George Clooney once owned Max, a Vietnamese pot-bellied pig. And now there's a new celebrity to add to this list: Miley Cyrus.

Who is the latest addition to the "Flowers" singer's household? We have all the details below.
Miley Cyrus Brought Home Her Newest Pet From a Shelter
Meet Teru, a 20-year-old Sulcata tortoise. Just 13 years younger than Cyrus, he was discovered by the singer at the Wags & Walks shelter in Los Angeles.
"You truly never know who you'll find in a shelter," read the caption from the shelter on Instagram. "This past week, we welcomed our very first tortoise into rescue. Meet Teru, a 20-year-old Sulcata who found himself in the shelter system, something even our team had never seen before."
It added, "When we heard that @mileycyrus was hoping to adopt a tortoise, we knew we had to help make the connection happen. After a little coordination, the stars aligned, and Teru officially found his forever home with Miley."
Cyrus confirmed the adoption on her Instagram Stories. The message read, "Welcome home Teru!"
The Cyrus Family Has Found Love
Teru isn't the only man Cyrus is in love with. Back in December, Cyrus was spotted wearing a ring on her finger at the world premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash. It was then revealed several hours later that she was engaged to her boyfriend, Maxx Morando.
The couple met on a blind date in 2021. They were then spotted together backstage in Miami during the holiday special, Miley's New Year's Eve Party. The two were also caught kissing in West Hollywood in April 2022. They reportedly began living together in 2024.
"I've always worked with the people that I love. And Maxx just inspires me so much," said Cyrus in 2024.
Meanwhile, Miley's father, Billy Ray, has been dating actress Elizabeth Hurley. The two went public with their relationship during Easter weekend in 2025.
"I think people found Billy and I being together a little surprising," she said last year. "It's not surprising to me because we're actually quite similar and get on extremely well. There has been quite a reaction."
