Brittney Spencer was playing with quite the legendary lineup when she was on the bill at the traveling Outlaw Music Festival in 2024.

Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp were among the headliners, and former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant performed with Alison Krauss that year. Still, the "Bigger Than the Song" singer was taken by surprise when Bob Dylan knocked on her dressing room door.
Bob Dylan Loved Her Music
At that time, Spencer only had her debut album out, My Stupid Life. She certainly didn't expect to meet any of the stars she was touring with, let alone Dylan.
Spencer shared on Instagram, "Two summers ago, Bob Dylan came into my dressing room after our set at Outlaw and told me he really liked my songs. He was so detailed about it all that I could barely handle it, lol."
She continued, "He asked for my number. I wrote it on a napkin and gave it to him. He didn't call. I think this is his way of calling now, and I'm picking up on the first ring."
Now Brittney Spencer Is Touring With Dylan
Spencer is now opening for the "Like A Rolling Stone" singer for four dates on his latest tour. They include:
- 7/12/26: Stage AE, Pittsburgh, PA
- 7/14/26: Highmark Mann Center for the Performing Arts, Philadelphia, PA
- 7/16/26: Leader Bank Pavilion, Boston, MA
- 7/18/26: BankNH Pavilion, Gilford, NH
Spencer first gained recognition by touring with Carrie Underwood. Her cover of The Highwomen's "Crowded Table" captured the attention of Maren Morris, Amanda Shires, and others.
A little over a year later, she shared the stage with The Highwomen and performed "Love My Hair" at the CMA Awards in 2021 with Mickey Guyton and Madeline Edwards. She has also performed with Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit and opened for Maren Morris, Megan Thee Stallion, and Brandi Carlile.
Spencer performed a cover of The Beatles' "Blackbird" with Beyoncé, Tanner Adell, Tiera Kennedy, and Reyna Roberts in 2024 during halftime at the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans Christmas Day matchup on Netflix. The singers also performed the song on the Cowboy Carter album.
