At first glance, these magnificent works of art look like wild horses scampering across the beach in a moment frozen in time.
In reality, these animals are incredibly detailed sculptures made from driftwood by British artist James Doran Webb. Webb has been collecting these pieces of wood for over 20 years, which has "has made it possible for him to find the pieces which most lend themselves to the natural form and shape needed to give his animals the movement and reality he strives to obtain in every piece he creates."
The most amazing part of these creations is that each animal is filled with life and character. Instead of standing in one place, each horse is shown jumping in the air or galloping across the land. They're expertly crafted so each one looks as though it's flying through the air with their manes and tails dancing in the wind.
From afar, the sculptures look like real life animals. If you look at them close up, you can see the detailed work that goes into each piece. It can take thousands of hours of hands-on work to make these horses come to life.
