Timothy Busfield, who is best known for his work on The West Wing and Thirtysomething, has been arrested. He's accused of pedophilia after allegedly sexually abusing underage boys. The boys in question are reportedly child actors on the set of FOX's The Cleaning Lady. He was working as a director on the set.

"According to a criminal complaint filed Friday in New Mexico, obtained by TMZ, Busfield is charged with child abuse and two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor under the age of 13," TMZ reports. "The charges stem from allegations that he sexually abused two boys on the set of 'The Cleaning Lady.'"
One of the complainants reportedly informed law enforcement that Busfield touched him inappropriately, noting his "private areas." The incident is alleged to have occurred on set after a scene had finished being filmed. The boy who made the complaint was seven years old at the time of the incident.
"Police in Albuquerque told TMZ ... they started investigating Busfield in November 2024 for alleged sexual abuse -- an arrest warrant was issued today, and cops are actively looking for Busfield, who they hope surrenders to law enforcement," TMZ's report continued.
Warner Bros. Television Is Cooperating With Police Regarding Timothy Busfield
Following Busfield's arrest, Warner Bros. Television released a statement to PEOPLE.
"The health and safety of our cast and crew is always our top priority, especially the safety of minors on our productions," a spokesperson said. "We take all allegations of misconduct very seriously and have systems in place to promptly and thoroughly investigate, and when needed, take appropriate action. [We] have been and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement."
The Cleaning Lady is not a Warner Bros. production. However, Busfield is linked with the company due to his role on The West Wing. Therefore, it makes sense for a spokesperson to issue a statement regarding the current allegations.
PEOPLE also noted that they'd reached out to FOX, but have yet to receive a response.
There is no further information regarding Busfield's arrest, the charges he faces or when his court appearance is scheduled for. However, given the scope of the charges, that information, or at least the verdict in the case, will likely become public in the coming weeks or months.
