The coach on The Voice has been serving as the network's correspondent over the past two weeks. He's been cheering on Team USA during matches, hanging with athletes, and reporting on the atmosphere at the games. He even rode a Zamboni.
It seems everyone in Italy has been enjoying the "Gin and Juice" rapper's vibe, so when his credit card didn't go through at a local restaurant, the owners told him not to worry about it. However, Snoop Dogg found a way to repay their kindness. We have the details below.
The Restaurant Owners Were "Laid Back"
Snoop Dogg ordered a cheeseburger, chicken wings, French fries, and chicken nuggets at Cronox, a gastropub in Livigno, Italy.
When the 54-year-old legend handed over his credit card to pay for his meal, it didn't work.
"He sent his staff to take [the card] and pay, but they couldn't pay. I don't know why, it wasn't going," said Sofia Valmadre, the daughter of the restaurant's owners, in a video posted by NBC LA on X. "So my mother told him that it was OK [to take the food] without paying."
The Owners Told Snoop Dogg "Grazie"
The reason why the credit card transaction didn't work is unknown. But Snoop Dogg wasn't about to let this debt go unpaid.
The rapper sent the restaurant five tickets to the men's snowboard halfpipe final. The coveted seats are worth a lot more than Snoop Dogg's meal.
"Grazie, Snoop," said Valmadre.
