Now that Megan Moroney's hit album Cloud 9 has released, she's looking ahead to the collaborations she wants next.
Her widely anticipated album featured the likes of Ed Sheeran and Kacey Musgraves. They are considered staples of the folk-pop and country scenes, respectively. But, she would like more than that.
As reported by Taste of Country, Moroney revealed her two ideal collaborations. She picked two pretty exciting options.
When asked on the Taste of Country Nights radio show, she said, "Probably Miranda Lambert or Chris Stapleton."

These are two very interesting picks. Luckily for her, Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton have collaborated before. They produced "A Song to Sing" together. So it's not at all unlikely that Megan Moroney might poach them both for a song or two. And, let's be honest, who wouldn't want to hear that?
Both Lambert and Stapleton are touring at the moment, with Stapleton having announced his "All-American Road Show" tour on his website. As they're both currently very busy on tour across America, it's honestly unlikely we'll see anything from the three of them any time soon. But we can all hope, right?
Megan Moroney Also Wants To Collaborate With Non-Country Stars
Ahead of her highly-anticipated Cloud 9 album, Megan Moroney revealed that she'd also like to collaborate with other singers. While they aren't exactly country singers themselves, she said she'd love to see the aesthetic.
In an interview with People, she revealed she wanted to collaborate with Olivia Rodrigo and Tate McRae. Moroney said that a song she'd make with Rodrigo would "lean sad and angry... I think we would crush an idea like that."
But Megan Moroney wouldn't only want doom and gloom. She said about a possible collaboration with McRae that a "more fun" song would be ideal.
She said about both of them, "I'm a fan of them. I've gotten to briefly hang out with both of them, and I think we could come up with something really cool if the opportunity presented itself."
These collaborations would definitely lead to some interesting songs. We hope that they come to fruition soon!
