During a tour stop at the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas on Saturday night (Aug. 11), Miranda Lambert and Ashley Monroe helped their friend and Pistol Annies bandmate Angaleena Presley reveal some big news. After introducing Monroe and Presley, also known as Hippie Annie and Holler Annie, Lambert referenced the trio's song "Takin' Pills" and revealed to the crowd that Presley is pregnant.
"One of us is drinking and one of us is smoking and one of us is not taking our pill," Lambert said as Presley showed the audience her baby bump. "Holler Annie's having a baby everybody!" She added that they don't know whether the baby is a boy or a girl, telling the audience to "stay tuned."
This is Presley's first child with husband Jordan Powell. She has a son, Jed, from a previous marriage.
The Pistol Annies recently put the finishing touches on their third album. In late July, Presley told The Boot that while they haven't set a release date, the trio had finished the follow up to 2013's Annie Up. The Pistol Annies released their debut album Hell on Heels in 2011.
The group has kept audiences excited for new music, re-uniting onstage several times this year. The country music supergroup has surprised audiences in Ohio, Kentucky and New York, teaming up to perform fan favorites like "Hell on Heels" and "Takin' Pills."
Presley released her critically acclaimed album Wrangled, which featured the Guy Clark-co-write "Cheer Up Little Darling," in 2017. Earlier this year, Monroe released her third album Sparrow. Lambert is currently on the road with Little Big Town for The Bandwagon Tour, which runs until the end of August. She released her double album The Weight of These Wings in 2016.
