Most college students live in dorm rooms with squeaky beds, dated common areas and lurking RA's. That's certainly not the case for the lucky members of the University of Alabama Phi Mu sorority. Their brand new, $13 million sorority house is spectacular both inside and out. It truly looks like it belongs in Scream Queens or Legally Blonde.
The Greek revival style architecture features three-story high columns and several balconies.
When you walk inside, you're greeted by an all-white entryway with marble floors and more columns.
Every sorority house needs a grand piano on display in the foyer!
The Greek houses at the university are all funded by the members and alumni. They are constructed at no cost to the university, but serve as a big recruiting tool!
The house is a whopping 39,444 square feet and has enough space to sleep 68 of the members. Inside the community dining room, round tables and fancy chairs seat up to 200 people.
There's even a covered outdoor patio designed for "game day overflow," according to AL.com. It even has fountains, a sound system and TVs.
Each floor of the house has a plush lounge area.
The downstairs study center has comfortable places to sit, desks, large work tables and a TV.
I think it's safe to say that this Phi Mu chapter will be seeing more pledges than ever this year!
