Alan Jackson is one of the most iconic country singers of all time to most fans. His resume is illustrious and deeply revered by those in the know and his performances reflect his icon status. However, he isn't exactly the household name in everyone's household. In his own, he's just dad and granddad. Consequently, it may not register just how important Jackson is to people. His kids know all too well at this point. Now, his grandkids get to experience his art firsthand.

Recently, Alan performed in Tampa, Florida for his Last Call: One More for The Road tour. There, he spotlights his daughters Mattie, Alexandra and their kids at his show. Alexandra's kid Jackson Alvie Bradshaw is only two years old. Meanwhile, Mattie's son Wesley hasn't even cracked a full year, only 10 months old. Donning protective headphones for their ears, they make it on the big screen for the rest of the crowd to celebrate.
Alan Jackson Performs for His Grandchildren for The First Time
For Mattie, this would just be another instance of her watching her dad at work. However, with her kid by her side, the moment is particularly sweet. "This weekend Ali and I got to take our boys to their first @officialalanjackson show. There's no telling how many shows I've been at in my life, but my goodness was this one special for all of us," she writes in the caption.
Of course, young Wesley and Jackson aren't going to properly recall any of this. Their brains haven't even come close to registering memories that would last a lifetime. However, it's important for Mattie and Alexandra to preserve the memory of their dad Alan Jackson performing. Whenever he decides to hang it up, they'll have a frame of reference for the kids to know who their granddaddy was.
"Wesley's too young to get it, of course, but to have pictures and videos and memories of their Grandaddy perform is priceless to say the least," Mattie concludes. "Very thankful for this little bitty moment!"
