After five seasons, The Equalizer won't be returning to our screens as CBA makes the decision to cancel the show.

As a female-led spin-off from the famous Denzel Washington movies of the same name, it didn't exactly do well. The Equalizer somehow managed to pull itself through five seasons, ending up with poor reviews on the whole. However, it was a fun watch with some great moments. And, more importantly, it starred Queen Latifah.
The biggest loss when it comes to the end of The Equalizer is the lead actress. But, this isn't the last we will see of her. Star of The Equalizer, Queen Latifah herself, has spoken out about the end of the show, and reassured fans that she will be back, and more ass kicking than ever.
Sharing an Instagram post about the cancellation of the show, she spoke about her thoughts on it all. "Stepping into a kick-a-- role like Robyn was everything I hoped it would be," she said. "The Equalizer blew past every dream we had for it, and having the opportunity to do this for five seasons honestly feels."
And, for anyone wondering what's next for the star of The Equalizer, she had a little hint. "don't worry—I'll be back kicking ass in something new real soon. Can't wait to share it with you."
It Might Be Over, But It Was A Pleasure For Queen Latifah
The star of the show was definitely one of the biggest draws for most fans. She was fantastic to watch and brought so much to the screen during her time on The Equalizer. It appears she had just as much fun as we did, too.
"I can't say enough about the FANS! Y'all have been so loyal, so loud, and so ride-or-die—and that's exactly why we keep doing this. We can't thank you enough. It means the world to us," she shared to her Instagram.
It sounds like the next project for Queen Latifah after The Equalizer may be another ass kicking action. However, she's staying quiet about her plans so far, so we will just have to wait and see. Maybe it's going to be a Die Hard spin-off?

"Turns out us Brits didn't want Ellen DeGeneres either" -- the article provides no evidence for this. A vow "never to return" presumably referred to not making the US her home in future, rather than never visiting.
This article sounds like a hit piece on her because of her political views. I wonder if the author of this politically slanted article thinks that the unbiased reporting of the mainstream media is untrustworthy.
43 acres and a large house is a major investment and not something that someone would walk away from. We moved from one state to another in January 2024 and I had to go back after 10 months to finalize some bank business in person, and still things keep coming in. This week it was a late fee for the former state's car registration that had lapsed. So, yeah, I can see her having to come back to deal with stuff. That doesn't mean she's staying, though.
