The band was playing its first non-Sphere concert in nearly two years. The classic rock band took on the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival last weekend. However, they were forced to wrap up the set earlier than planned.

Let's examine what happened. Things started off well for The Eagles.

"This is very different from the Sphere," frontman Don Henley said during the show. "We got some sunshine up in here." The group kicked things off proper with "Seven Bridges Road." Those in attendance noted the band seemed to enjoy the freedom the show brought them.

The Eagles Cut Things Short

The Eagles had been sticking to a very set list of songs during their run at the Sphere in Las Vegas. So they got to mix things up a bit while playing hits like "Take It Easy," "Life in the Fast Lane," "Witchy Woman." There was, of course, "Hotel California," but a surprising lack of "Desperado."

That's sad for you tearjerker fans, but don't blame the Eagles. They had to cut the set short because a member suffered a medical emergency. . According to NOLA.com, the Eagles cut the show short. They still had about 20 minutes left in their allotted schedule time.

But they put the health of a band member first. Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmidt and Don Henley were not the ones affected. Instead, it was the band's piano player who suffered a medical emergency and couldn't perform the tune.

"In the latter half of the show, the band's piano player reportedly suffered some sort of medical episode and couldn't continue to perform," the news site reported. "Without him, the band had to skip the piano-heavy 'Desperado.'"

Exactly what that medical emergency was is unknown. But we hope that they are indeed alright.
