The ACM awards didn't do much to convince us that the genre has a lot of life in it, with the same groups of people winning the same awards yet again. But, for Alan Jackson, this is possibly his final ACM Awards show. Due to his ailing health, he is stepping back from the world of performance and country music. He plans to retire from touring and will be playing his final show later this month.
However, for the ACM awards, he treated them to one last song, and there was hardly a dry eye in the room. His rendition of "Remember When" was a fine farewell to the touring life for Alan Jackson, who has been on the scene since 1989.
