A woman in north Houston reportedly shot her boyfriend during a late-night dispute at a taco stand earlier this month. The reason? Her taco was cold.
According to ABC 13, the altercation occurred around 2 a.m. at a taco truck on West Dyna. While there were no security cameras present to capture video footage, the police department believes that the shooter first became angry when the taco truck worker would not reheat her taco. The unidentified woman clearly takes her taco temperature very seriously, because the situation then escalated quickly.
Her boyfriend attempted to calm her down, as a cold taco doesn't quite seem like something to cry over. Despite his best efforts, however, things only got worse from there. Like, way worse. The woman pulled out a gun and shot her boyfriend, taking "hangry" to a whole new level. While we all know that Texans take their tacos seriously, it's rare that people turn to this kind of violence over food.
It is unclear on whether or not the woman will face charges, because police are not yet sure if the shooting was an accident. Whether or not she meant to fire the weapon, what a scary scene to be a part of.
Luckily, his injuries were not life-threatening and it seems that the boyfriend is going to be okay. Will he ever take a girlfriend out for tacos again? I'd guess not. Especially if they're lukewarm.
