A local Texas rapper was shot dead suddenly at a car wash. Horrifically, his 5-year-old daughter was also killed.

According to NBC 5, on Monday morning, two armed individuals struck Slappy's Express Car Wash on Forest Hill Drive. Reportedly, over a dozen bullets were fired, per a witness account speaking to Fox 4 News.
The shooting claimed the lives of a local Texan rapper, Ronnie Smith, and his daughter, R'Mani. They were both pronounced dead at the scene. R'Mani had celebrated her 5th birthday only last Sunday.
Ronnie Smith, 30, went by the stage name G$ Lil Ronnie. He produced albums regularly, and his most popular song, "Hoodflame Killuminati," has been streamed almost 4 million times on Spotify.
Police are still investigating the incident. One suspect has apparently been identified, although he has yet to be apprehended. The second suspect remains unknown.
Authorities say that Smith and his daughter were parked at the car wash when a white four-door Kia drove up. The suspects opened fire from the car and drove off, leaving the man and girl dead.
Witness Recalls Hearing Over A Dozen Gunshots
Harrowingly, a witness speaking to Fox 4 News explained that she heard many gunshots at the time of the incident. There were apparently three rounds of shooting.
Becky Johnson lives across the car wash and heard the whole thing from inside her house. "Six [gunshots] the first time, and then it was half a second, and I heard six more. Then a second later, I heard three," she said.
Customers rushed to take cover behind their vehicles. "I could see people fleeing for their cars," she said.
The pattern of gunfire described makes it easy to speculate that the suspects specifically went out to hit the rapper.
Smith's aunt, Stella Houston, added that no one would have a reason to target Smith and his daughter.
She told the outlet, "He was a rapper. He didn't bother nobody. He didn't target nobody."
Houston called Smith a "family man."
She said, "Why would you target him? Cleaning the car out, and somebody came through shooting and killed him and the baby. And a baby. His baby. A baby!"
Investigators are still working on the case. I hope the suspects are swiftly found.
