A terrifying video has captured the moment a $2 million private jet smashed into the ground in Florida. As reported by the New York Post, authorities have explained there were "multiple fatalities" following the incident.
Video footage from the scene shows a large crater and fireball that has torn up asphalt. It also shows a crowd of people gathering around the scene of the crash. The plane also appeared to have hit a water pipe, causing water to rush into the crater as onlookers filmed.
WBC24 also reported that the crash caused power outages, with another video from the scene showing crooked power lines. The plane appeared to have crashed into the ground at a nosedive angle and at high speed - although whether the crash was intentional remains unknown.
The incident happened in Greenacres, South Florida, described by the New York Post as "a community for modular and mobile homes just outside Palm Springs".
It was reported that the plane, which authorities suspect is a Learjet 60 private jet, smashed into a mobile home. While it is unclear how many people have died or otherwise been injured in the crash, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue has described the situation as a "mass casualty incident."

This Comes After Another Tragic Crash Prompted a Federal Investigation
It seems like these sorts of crashes happen all too often these days. Another incident that happened recently is just as tragic. We reported on it when it happened - three people tragically died after two helicopters collided mid-air in Oregon.
All three people who were aboard the Robinson R22 helicopter and the Airbus H125 tragically died. The victims were later identified as 22-year-old Maddie Aasbo, a 31-year-old student pilot, and 38-year-old Tyler Sturdevant.
Leo Rodriquez, a witness to the tragic accident, described what happened at the scene. "I heard the helicopter noise, I bent over to do something and then boom, I looked up and everything was going down," he recalled.
"There was a larger one intact still, the tail end of it was struck... It turned and it propelled down and the other one dropped straight down."
