Is there anything more relaxing than lavender? Well, maybe, but there's no denying that the scent is helpful to combat stress and anxiety. If you're looking for a safe getaway to travel to during the COVID-19 pandemic, consider the lovely Mulberry Lavender Farm Bed & Breakfast in between Fayetteville and Lynchburg, Tennessee in the charming small town of Mulberry Creek. The historic farm was previously owned by renowned distiller Jack Daniel's brother and is now surrounded by stunning fields of lavender and endless products to take home with you after your stay.

The farmhouse dates back to the 1800s when Daniel's brother, a Civil War veteran, owned the property with his wife. The Bed and Breakfast has multiple guest rooms to choose from, including the Wiley Room (named for Jack's older brother Wiley Daniels), the Lavender Room and the Country Room. There is also a private romantic cottage, the Lavender Cottage, if you'd like a bit more privacy. Check their website here for available dates to book your stay for $175/night. One thing to note is that you really are taking a step back in time during your stay. Unplug like its 1860! Like the 1800s, there is no Wifi available unless you're using a hotspot on your phone. But you will get a hairdryer and free toiletries!

Unwind for the weekend in a comfortable queen bed with your own private bathroom. After check-in, you'll go to bed each night thinking "Life Is Good." And so is all the lavender. The Farm Store is an onsite gift shop featuring lavender products created on the farm. There are essential oils, lavender-infused honey, soaps, sea salts, Navajo Churro Wool, dryer balls and more.

The family farm is just a scenic drive away for those in Nashville, Huntsville or Chattanooga. The Farmhouse B&B is also just down the street from the Jack Daniel's Distillery so that definitely needs to be on your to-do list. After visiting the distillery or local wineries, come back and watch the working farm up close, from the Navajo Churro sheep and draft horse to other farm animals at work.
