Knife-Wielding Maniac Enters Jealous Rage
It is bad enough losing one parent, but to lose both at the same time is horrendous. That is amplified when one of your parents murders the other. Kirsten Stevens, was murdered by her ex-husband, James Christopher Lindsey, around 1am on Friday, according to Daily Mail.
Lindsey had broken into Stevens's Florida home and murdered her while she slept. The Daily Mail shared the harrowing details from the Seminole County Sheriff's office. Revealing that Lindsey had stabbed Steven's "more than 50 times all over her body."
Reports claim that she was sleeping next to her boyfriend, who she had enjoyed a date with earlier on the evening of December 6. This relationship is what supposedly angered Lindsey to the point of murder. Stevens's boyfriend chose to remain anonymous but spoke about the horrific incident.
He recalled waking up to the horrific scene, seeing Lindsey atop Stevens as he repeatedly stabbed her over and over again. Talk about a scene right out of a horror movie. In his attempt to kick his girlfriend's ex-partner off of her, he got stabbed in his upper leg. Seeing that he would need to take a different approach, he fled to a neighbor's house and dialed 911.
Tragic Event Leaves Teen Waking Up As An Orphan
Luckily, or unluckily depending on how you look at it, Lindsey and Stevens' 16-year-old son slept through the entire attack. He was left completely unharmed by his father. However, his mother was dead. Then, four hours later Lindsey was found dead after crashing his car. The evidence suggest that Lindsey lost control of the car as he was ejected from the vehicle and no other cars were involved.
This gruesome scene, where the boy's dad killed his mom, was not the first red mark on Lindsey's ledger. Daily Mail shares that he had " a disturbing history of domestic violence incidents" against Stevens while they were dating.
To make matters even more harrowing, Lindsey's brutal attack on Stevens came just a day before they were due in court to address a domestic battery charge against him. Police had tried to monitor Lindsey with GPS monitoring, but it was not granted.
Without his movements being tracked, he was able to slip inside Stevens's home and murder her —beginning the most horrific night that would leave their teen waking up as an orphan. The Sherrif's department offered their condolences and promised that they will continue working until they are able to uncover all details surrounding this heinous case.
