Police rushed to Heron Close at 4 a.m. on April 14 after reports of a fire. Firefighters battled the blaze, but Stan and Roma Rickman died at the scene, police confirmed. "Firefighters and police attended, but sadly, Stan and Roma were pronounced dead," Hampshire Police stated in a press release. The tragedy prompted a murder investigation.

Authorities first arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of murder. He secured bail pending further inquiries. On Thursday, police detained two 15-year-old boys -- one from Bordon, one from Alton -- also on murder suspicions. "Both boys received bail with conditions as we continue our inquiries," police announced. The case remains a priority as detectives seek answers.

Police Urge Public to Share Clues

Detective Superintendent Danielle Daltrey, leading the investigation, stressed the need for public assistance, via Sky News. "We prioritize this case and work tirelessly to determine what happened," Daltrey declared. She called for witnesses who noticed suspicious activity between midnight and 5 a.m. on April 14.

"Did you see anyone acting oddly in the area during those hours?" Daltrey asked. "Do you have CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage showing suspicious behavior around that time?" She urged, "Please share any details that could help our investigation." Police encourage tips to aid their probe into the fire's circumstances.

Family Requests Privacy

The Alton community mourns the loss of Stan and Roma Rickman. The couple's family expressed gratitude for local support but sought solitude. "We thank everyone for the flowers and kind messages," the family told Sky News. "Please respect our privacy during this difficult time."

Hampshire Police continue their rigorous investigation. The arrests of three teenagers mark progress, but detectives emphasize the need for more evidence. Authorities appeal to residents for information to clarify the events leading to the fatal fire. Anyone with details should contact Hampshire Police immediately.
