The group joined Swift onstage to perform a version of their hit song, "Pontoon". Both parties clearly had a great time during the unexpected collaboration that was well-received by Swift's audience. It was a rare country moment in a set full of purely pop music from her 2014 album that has sold over 4 million copies in the United States since its release.
Little Big Town aren't the first surprise guests to sing alongside Swift during her massive tours. On her current 1989 tour, she's also had the lead singer of alt-rock group Imagine Dragons show up for a special duet, and has had her best friends and supermodels Gigi Hadid and Martha Hunt walk the stage during a recent stop in Detroit. During her previous RED Tour in 2013, she brought out special guests Luke Bryan, Hunter Hayes and Rascal Flatts during her set of performances at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.
Taylor Swift will be continuing her 1989 World Tour through the end of 2015. Little Big Town will be performing at LP Field during this year's CMA Music Festival in Nashville on June 12 before they head back out on tour in support of their latest album, Painkiller.
