The Madison ended its first season last month, and apparently, Paramount+ liked what it saw. The streamer announced today, April 14, that it has renewed the Taylor Sheridan drama for a third season.

"The Madison" Is a Huge Hit
The numbers don't lie: The Madison gave Sheridan the biggest debut of his career. PEOPLE reports that, in the first 10 days after its March 14 premiere, it reached 8 billion views worldwide.
Initially billed as one of the many Yellowstone spinoffs announced after the show ended in 2024, The Madison shares a similar Montana setting. However, it distinguishes itself by focusing on the exploits of the Clyburn family.
Following a tragedy, the Clyburn family relocates from New York City to the Madison River Valley in Montana. Here, Michelle Pfeiffer stars as Stacy Clyburn, working through her grief while rebuilding her life.
The Madison has been described as a "heartfelt study of grief and human connection" and "profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation."
The cast also includes Kurt Russell, Danielle Vasinova, Ben Schnetzer, Patrick J. Adams, Beau Garrett, Amiah Miller, and Elle Chapman.
Wait... When Does the Second Season Come Out?
We do know that season 2 of The Madison has already been filmed. However, the release date has not yet been announced.
We also know that Matthew Fox will not be returning as Paul Clyburn in the upcoming season.
He explained that he's "at a point in my life where I'd rather pop in and do something interesting, but I don't want to dedicate six years of my life to something [again, after Lost]."
Russell shared that "the level of real danger goes up" in The Madison's next season. "Things begin to become dangerous in realistic ways," he added.
"It's after the initial stage of raw grief passes, and some time has gone by," shared Pfeiffer. "It's the messy and profound rebuilding of everything that you knew after everything that you knew has fallen apart and what that looks like."
Last month, Sheridan shared his appreciation for the cast and crew that helped put the show together at the show's premiere. He then thanked director Christina Voros for bringing his work to the screen.
"I'd love to call her out on stage and let you guys show her your appreciation," said Sheridan. "I think you'll see that she exceeded even my wildest expectations."
