If you are a parent, then the fear of anything happening to one of your kids is a constant background noise in your mind. Now, imagine your children getting abducted all of a sudden by a taxi driver. Nothing short of a nightmare situation. Well, that's something Jenna, a TikToker, had to undergo recently on New Year's Eve, as a taxi driver inadvertently drove away with her 9-year-old son inside.

In a recent TikTok video published by Jenna (@jennabrotherdale), she told how her family suffered a scare right after their New Year's Eve celebrations. Jenna, her husband, and their two children were supposed to take a taxi back to their home. Exhausted, they waited, and the taxi eventually arrived past midnight.

Once the taxi arrived, Jenna's husband, placed their nine-year-old son, Oscar, inside the taxi. Reminiscing, she called that "the first mistake," saying that her kids will never enter a taxi before them ever again. Jenna's husband, however, did everything he was supposed to do. He even told the taxi driver that there were other passengers. At the same time, Jenna and her daughter were saying goodbye to their friends.
However, it appears that the driver either didn't hear Jenna's husband or just plain ignored him. After he closed the door, the driver took off.
"During this time [the driver] literally just sped off like so fast," Jenna recalled. "I just heard all this shouting, and in my head, I thought the taxi's gone without, just without any of us. So I've gone to the bottom of the drive and seen my partner literally chasing after this car."
Driver Stopped
Jenna attempted to call the taxi driver, but she dialed the wrong number. Just like her husband, she was extremely panicked about the situation. However, inside the taxi, Oscar, who was asleep during the whole incident, suddenly woke up.
"He said to the driver, 'Excuse me, you've left my parents,'" Jenna said. At that moment, the taxi driver finally stopped. Eventually, Jenna's husband reached the taxi and immediately blasted him for driving with the boy.
"What the hell are you doing? You just drove off with a child in the car!" Jenna said her husband told the driver. The driver, however, didn't provide much of an explanation. All the while, Jenna and Oscar's sister were scared to death, with the latter believing Oscar had been kidnapped.
Jenna filed a complaint with the taxi company, but she is relieved that the incident didn't end up with her son getting hurt. "Main thing is everyone is safe. Hopefully this was an mistake, although hard to believe," Jenna wrote on the TikTok's description. "I am not tarnishing all taxi drivers the same, appreciate there are some brilliant ones, but that just wasn't our experience this day."
