You may want to check your child's footwear before heading to the beach this weekend. Target has issued a recall of more than 200,000 children's sandals.

According to the recall, which was announced yesterday, July 16, by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the products are considered a possible choking hazard and carry the potential risk of "serious injury or death."
What Products Are Affected By the Recall?
Target issued the recall for nearly 211,000 Cat & Jack Toddler Girls' Sequerah Sandals. According to the recall, the product features decorative pearls that could possibly fall off, "posing a risk of serious injury or death from a choking hazard."
The sandals are tan. They also feature two raffia straps with gold buckles and plastic pearls. The "Cat & Jack" brand name is printed on the soles and bottoms of the sandals. The sizes range from 5T to 12T.
The sandals were sold at Target stores nationwide from January 2026 through May 2026 for around $22. They were also available for purchase on the store's website.
The item numbers for the affected products are 093-11-3106, 093-11-3107, 093-11-3108, 093-11-3109, 093-11-3110, 093-11-3111, 093-11-3112, and 093-11-3113. The online item numbers are 94807785, 94807786, 94807787, 94807788, 94807789, 94807790, 94807791, and 94807792.
What Should I Do if I Own the Sandals?
While no injuries have been reported thus far, Target has received 23 reports of the pearls falling off the sandals.

The notice comes several weeks after the CPSC issued a recall on over 70,000 pull-string teething toys manufactured by GOPO and sold on Amazon. The product carries a "risk of serious injury or death from choking."
