Shooting Suspect Arrested at Trippie Redd's Home
Per a report from Florida news station Local10, the police entered the rapper's home on Tuesday (October 6). To arrest a 25-year-old man. The man was wanted for his alleged role in a recent shooting. That occurred outside of a Jamaican restaurant in Miami's Wynwood neighborhood back in September.
The accused man, identified as 25-year-old Braveone Jones, was at the rapper's home in Southwest Ranches, Florida. Jones is now facing two counts of attempted murder in the shooting that occurred on September 15.
Per the outlet, two men were injured in the shooting. Both remain in stable condition after suffering gunshot wounds.
An employee from one of the nearby restaurants described the melee.
"I saw a crowd of people just running straight towards us," the employee said. "I didn't know what was going on."
The employee also witnessed the bloody scene in the aftermath of the shooting. He said he saw one of the victims on the floor. He used his "belt to help apply pressure" to the gunshot wound.
Police did not reveal if Redd and the suspect are connected. Or if he was aware of his fugitive status.
But that did not stop users on social media from weighing in on the saga.
"Why do rappers like hanging around drug dealers, robbers, murderers?" one person asked on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Was he ever named a person of interest? Or is the connection only the address?" a second user chimed in.
"These fake gangster rappers are desperate for attention," a third user remarked.
Police say that the investigation into the shooting is still ongoing. Stay tuned for further updates.
