'Supernatural' Star Tragically Dead At 51 After Cancer Battle

Supernatural star Carrie Anne Fleming has tragically died at only 51, as reported by Variety - this comes after a long-fought battle with breast cancer.

Her co-star on Supernatural, Jim Beaver, told the outlet that she died of complications arising from her cancer. He also said that she had passed away on February 26 of this year.

She was most well known for her role as Karen Singer in Supernatural, who is the wife of Bobby Singer. She was also known for her breakout role in Happy Gilmore.

While those were her most prominent role, she had a varied acting career. She had a recurring role in iZombie, playing Candy Baker. She also appeared in stage productions in British Columbia, like Noises Off and Romeo and Juliet.

Fleming was born in 1974 in Digby, Nova Scotia. She studied drama at the Kaleidoscope and Kidco Theatres in Digby. The Supernatural star is survived by her daughter, Madalyn Rose.

While a memorial service hasn't been announced at the moment, one is planned for a later date.

Fans and celebrities alike have come out in droves to send condolences to the Supernatural star's family.

Her co-star on Supernatural, Jim Beaver, posted on Bluesky to honor her. "My friend, my lover, my bright light, my beautiful costar Carrie Anne Fleming, who played Bobby Singer's wife Karen on supernatural died on Thursday... My heart is broken."

Mark Pellegrino, a filmmaker, recounted his experiences with her in a post on X. "Carrie was gracious enough to work on our little film in London, what a good person."

One commentor wrote, "She lives in every episode she appeared in and as long as someone is watching, she isn't fully gone - rest in power." Another wrote, "A talented presence gone too soon, her work will live on."

Others noted her battle with cancer. One said, "Cancer f**king sucks", with another saying "Cancer sucks! It took my nephew at a young age."
