He was in New Orleans to cover the Super Bowl. Now, authorities have arrested a Louisiana woman in connection to his death. Evidence shows that she left the hotel room where first responders found the Super Bowl reporter unresponsive. She also allegedly used his credit card at several stores in New Orleans, according to fox8live.com.

Authorities have arrested 48-year-old Danette Colbert after security footage showed her leaving the reporter's hotel room. So far, they haven't charged her with murder. But they have charged her with bank fraud and theft.

Chillingly, Colbert's criminal record shows she's previously been accused of drugging a man and swiping his credit cards. Both Manzano and Colbert arrived to his hotel room in the early hours of Wednesday. Kenner Police Deputy Chief Mark McCormick says that Colbert left the room alone.

12 hours later hotel staff found him dead after doing a wellness check. So far, they haven't determined a cause of death. But police did say his body doesn't show any signs of trauma. They performed a toxicology test on him to see if he was drugged.

"Obviously, there are allegations in [Colbert's] past criminal history that make us consider that," McCormick said. "But we don't have anything at this point."

In 2016, a man accused Colbert of stealing his cellphone and credit card. She was arrested trying to spend the money. In 2022, a man alleged that she drugged him and stole $50,000 from him while in Las Vegas.

The Super Bowl reporter's death comes months after his wife Ashleigh Boyd died in a car wreck. At the time, he wrote, "Always in my heart Ashleigh Boyd" on social media. With his death, his toddler daughter is now an orphan.

His colleagues mourned the Super Bowl reporter's death. They wrote, " [Adan] was a true professional and a rising star, who exemplified excellence in his work. We will deeply miss Adan and his passion for sports, and the contributions he made to the local community. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time."
