A protestor, working as one of the members of the field cast for the Super Bowl halftime show, has been arrested for showing their support for the struggles of the Palestinian and Sudanese people.

For several seconds during the controversial Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl halftime show, the protestor can be seen waving the flag on top of the car Kendrick was on moments before. Shortly afterward, they are seen running through the show with their combined Gaza/Sudan flag.
The protester makes a good go of it during the halftime show too. They manage to parade their flag around the pitch for a solid 20 seconds before security finally manages to catch them. Amid the dancing and confusion of the show, the security struggled to spot the protestor.
The protestor had managed to sneak the flag into the halftime show on their body. Then, once everything was in full swing, they chose their moment to make a statement. "The individual hid the item on his person and unveiled it late in the show," the NFL said. "No one involved with the production was aware of the individual's intent."
Voicing support for Palestine is a very delicate topic in the US with so much funding going towards Israel.
Halftime Protestor Will Face Charges
According to the New Orleans Police Department, "Law enforcement is working to determine applicable charges in this incident." Usually, in cases like this, the charges aren't too drastic. The person involved is usually taken to a cell for the night, slapped with a fine up to $1000, and charged with trespassing. Sometimes they will be issued with a lifetime ban from the venue on top of it all.
This halftime protestor has gained a lot of popularity online. The majority of the discourse appears to be in support of the statement made during the show. Hopefully, police and politicians won't use the flag-waving protestor as a chance to send a message.
Running into sports games has always been a way to make a political statement. Fingers crossed they will just be slapped with a fine and a ban from dancing at any more Super Bowl halftime shows.
