Gronkowski Shuts Down Notion That He Endorsed Turning Point
So when Gronk was seen signing autographs, many people drew the connection and believed that he was endorsing the organization. This led to a lot of backlash from fans. However, the former New England Patriot says that perception is not reality.
"It has been upsetting and eye-opening to see the narratives around my visit to NH on Election Day with Camille," Gronkowski said in the post (via PEOPLE). "Regarding the images and videos circulating, we are not endorsed by or affiliated with Turning Point USA."
The NFL on Fox host also explained that he had been visiting a local high school. While in the area some fans recognized he and his beau and asked them to take pictures and sign autographs. But he made it clear that he was not endorsing the organization.
"[We] took photos with people across the political spectrum throughout that morning," Gronk added. "We cannot control what the media has made of it and is running with. So we are here to shut down the false narratives."
The star tight end also said that it was "disappointing" to see media outlets try to spin a narrative to create a viral moment.
"It is disappointing to see an innocent moment stripped of context and turned into clickbait," Gronkowski said. "Our message has always been and always will be to treat everyone with kindness and hope you all will do the same."
Turning Point USA was founded by late podcaster, Charlie Kirk. The nonprofit is known for going into the field, mainly on high school and college campuses, to recruit conservative voters. Kirk's wife, Erika, has taken over as CEO of the organization following her husband's assassination in 2025.
