Jim Geoghan, creator of the beloved Disney series Suite Life of Zack and Cody, has died. He was 79.

His daughter Genevieve Geoghan confirmed to Variety that the Hollywood producer died on Sept. 6 in Los Angeles.
Geoghan, who famously produced the 90s sitcom Family Matters, co-created Suite Life of Zack and Cody in 2005.
Chronicling the lives of two Boston-born twins, played by Dylan and Cole Sprouse, who live in a luxury hotel, Suite Life of Zack and Cody was one of Disney's biggest live-action series in the 2000s.
The series ran for three seasons before swapping settings to a cruise ship in "Suite Life on Deck," which also aired for three seasons.
For many young actors, including the Sprouse twins, Brenda Song and Ashley Tisdale, Suite Life of Zack and Cody marked their breakout roles.
The hit series earned two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Children's Program in 2007 and 2008.
Geoghan began his career in the 1970s and quickly gained notoriety as a member of the comedic trio Divided We Stand. The Bronx native spent several years performing with his group at nightclubs and colleges before he got an opportunity to write for television and moved to Los Angeles.
In 1995, Geoghan won an Image Award for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series for his work on Family Matters.
Roughly a decade later, Geoghan produced 77 episodes of Suite Life of Zack and Cody, delivering countless memories to a generation of Disney Channel fans.

Jim Geoghan is survived by his wife, Annie Gagen, and his daughter, Genevieve Geoghan.
