Hannah Kobayashi went missing a few months ago, causing her family to start a countrywide search for her. However, the missing Hawaiian woman turned up, happily crossing the border to Mexico, appearing to have ditched her old life in favor of a new one, and she's getting plenty of support through her Venmo.

Sometimes life just calls for a change. Everything can get a little too much and the only thing to do is throw your phone in the trash and cross the border to Mexico. Nothing helps take a load off than high-grade mezcal and endless Al Pastor.
Voluntarily missing Hawaiian woman Kobayashi took the initiative and did just that. She ditched her phone, and without a word to anyone, crossed the border. The problem is, that she didn't let her family know and they went off the rails. A huge search, including a GoFundMe, kicked off before she was found.
Now that her motives are clear, the missing woman is getting plenty of support through her Venmo.
Missing Woman Hopefully Living Her Best Life With Venmo Aid
Many people are showing their support for Kobayashi making the leap, and taking her own life back. Making the decision to step away from the rat race, and take time for yourself is admirable for many, apparently.
People are helping the missing woman on her journey by funneling money and words of support through her Venmo. "Way to make it to Mexico girlie! Have a chicharrone on me!" one Venmo user comments. I can't help but agree, the deep-fried pig fat immediately makes any day a good one.
Others support her move, but urge her to reach out to her family. Since her disappearance, her family has been losing their minds. Only a few months after the search started, her father committed suicide, suffering from the stress of his missing daughter. "Have fun in Mexico.. let your fam know you're safe." one Venmo supporter advises the missing woman.
Seeing people rally together to show support for someone trying something new is heartwarming. I don't know the reason for her not letting her family know her plans, and there may be good ones. However, a word of reassurance would at least give them a reason to call off the search.
