On the latest episode of Storage Wars: Back To The Locker, which aired Saturday, April 25, Darrell was honored with a tribute.
"In Memorium Daniel Sheets" was written in a white font, contrasting a pure black background. Darrell's birth year and the year of his death sat below his name.
This type of memorial is common in television and movies when a cast member passes away.
Darrell was found dead in his Arizona home on Wednesday, April 22. It appears that his cause of death was due to suicide. His body was reportedly discovered when Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a call of "a reported deceased individual."
"Upon arrival, officers located a male subject who suffered from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head," a press release from the police read. "The male was pronounced deceased on scene."
Darrell Sheets Was Allegedly Being Cyberbullied
In a post to Instagram on April 22, Rene Nezhoda, a fellow cast member of Storage Wars, revealed that Darrell was dealing with cyberbullying in recent weeks.
"You never know what demons somebody faces and what they go through and what you might push them through," Rene wrote. "And I also highly encourage law enforcement — Darrell has been posting a lot about the guy that has been cyberbullying and torturing him, and I really hope they look into that guy, and that's just not a pass," Nezhoda continued. "Because it's just not right."
Sergeant Kyle Ridgway, a public information officer for the Lake Havasu City Police Department, has since revealed that the police are aware of the allegations of cyberbullying.
"We are aware of these cyberbullying accusations, and that is a part of the active investigation," Ridgway said via Page Six.
Brandi Passante Has Also Posted a Tribute to Darrell
Another one of Darrell's former co-stars, Brandi Passante, has also posted a tribute to her Instagram in recent days.
"I've known Darrell Sheets for many years. I'm just so very sorry, to hear the circumstances of his passing. My heart hurts for Brandon, Zoe, and Kimber. I unfortunately lost a parent and a brother to similar situations."
During her post, Brandi also urged anyone who is struggling with mental health issues to reach out and get help.
"I would like to say to everyone, if you are struggling, if you feel hopeless or like no one cares. I assure you they do!! You are not alone. Please reach out for help. You are not taking your pain away, you are transferring it to someone else."
Darrell's death is undoubtedly a tragic occurrence. There is currently no further information regarding the police investigation. Furthermore, details regarding his impending funeral have not been made public.
