The '70s rock-pop gems and inner-band drama in both Taylor Jenkins Reid's 2019 novel Daisy Jones & The Six and the Amazon limited series from March that's based on the book have drawn comparisons to the real-life story of Fleetwood Mac. Stevie Nicks agrees after multiple binges through the show, as she shared Tuesday (Aug. 15) on Instagram.
"Just finished watching Daisy Jones + the 6 for the [second] time," Nicks wrote. "In the beginning, it wasn't really my story, but Riley seamlessly, soon became my story. It brought back memories that made me feel like a ghost watching my own story."
Nicks then referenced Fleetwood Mac bandmate Christine McVie, who died on Nov. 30, 2022.
"It was very emotional for me," Nicks continued. "Just wish Christine could have seen it. She would have loved it."
Though there's no second season officially in the works, the final episode does leave a loose end for the story to continue.
"There could be more story to tell if that was something people wanted, but time will tell if there's any interest in such a thing," creator Scott Neustadter told Town & Country.
Keough has been campaigning for a second run as Jones through interviews.
"It was such a wonderful experience," Keough told Deadline. "I think all of us would love to work together in any capacity again. I don't know how much room they left for that, but I definitely would work with everyone on the show again."
Add Nicks to the list of celebrities clamoring for the show to be renewed, as she closed her post with "Hopefully it will continue..."
Daisy Jones & The Six earned nine Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Lead Actress In a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Keough.
