Map Shows Where Each State’s Most Foreign Goods Come From

It's no secret that the United States receives foreign goods from other countries. But where are these goods?

Reddit user sendherhome22 created this map using U.S. Census Bureau data to show which foreign country exports the most goods to each U.S. The census report provides a list of each state's imports and exports.

Would it surprise you that in South Carolina, most foreign goods come from Germany? Or would it shock you that Hawaii's imports come mostly from Canada?

Texas receives most of its foreign imports from Mexico. The other Texas contributors could surprise you. Saudi Arabia, China, Germany and South Korea all export goods to Texas.

The South seems to have a common country giving them goods, and that country is China.

The only states in the South that veer from the common country are Texas, Louisiana, Alabama and South Carolina.
