Watch Cam Channel Tammy Wynette for 'Stand By Your Man' Cover

Breakthrough artist Cam put her own spin on a country classic with her energetic rendition of Tammy Wynette's "Stand By Your Man."

In 2015, Cam earned praise for her well-written single "Burning House." The feminine perspective of a love gone wrong was a sound that was lacking in the airwaves, which were still in the midst of purging the tidal wave of bro-country. In her new session with BBC Radio 2, Cam channels another strong, feminine voice in country music.

Her powerhouse voice sucks you in within the first few notes, making the song feel fresh and relevant. It's never easy to tackle a classic, but she does it with poise and style.

If you haven't caught Cam on the live stage yet, you still have plenty of chances to see her in 2017. She has dates set at multiple music festivals this summer, including Nashville' massive CMA Fest.
