According to a recent report from the US Sun, a screening of the film had to be evacuated. After someone caused a disturbance with a huge fart. In an attempt to mask their noses from the smell.

'Hulk-Sized Fart' Clears Out Colombia Spider-Man Screening

According to the outlet, there are other circulating reports that have suggested that a viewer may have let off a stink bomb as a prank.

The screening was not officially called off. However, according to the outlet, the smell became unbearable to the point that some people voluntarily left the theater.

You're probably wondering if they caught the culprit. Unfortunately, they didn't, and the "unsuspected villain" remains at large.

Of course, fans on social media had a lot to say about the alleged emergency evacuation.

"Hulk-sized fart? That definitely would clear a room," one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"Spider-Man couldn't save the theater from that one," a second user chimed in.

"Shutting down a Spider-Man screening is elite-level chaos! Modern movie theater experiences are getting wilder by the day!" a third user remarked.

As for the film itself, Spider-Man: Brand New Day entered historic territory after an extremely lucrative opening weekend. The film earned $360 million domestically and $932 million globally. It is just the second film to ever cross the $300 million domestic threshold (Avengers: Endgame).

After the weekend box office numbers were announced, Tom Rothman, chairman of Sony Pictures, paid homage to everyone who was involved in the making of the film.

"Wow! 360 million thank-yous to all the filmmakers, actors, producers, and to my colleagues at Sony, who created such a fantastic film and an exceptional marketing and distribution campaign," he said via Variety.

He also said that despite coming in at the number two spot, he still takes "great pride" in crossing the $300 million threshold.

"Records are made to be broken, but we will take great pride in this one, for as long as we hold it."
