This remote cabin in the Alps lets people spend the night with a spectacular view underneath the stars. Located in the Dolomite mountains, not far from Cortina, a popular Alpine town in northern Italy, The Starlight Room is accessible only by snowshoe or snowmobile and offers an incredible view of one of the most scenic spots of the Dolomite mountain range.
It sits on a pair of skis at an altitude of over 2,000 meters and consists of all that you need to take in the amazing mountain view. The cabin accommodates up to two guests, and in it, you'll find an adjustable bed, a bench with storage, flat-screen tv and an attached outdoor bathroom.
Guests can stay warm on the snow mountain top with an adjustable thermostat as they watch dawn go down and turn to dusk through the ¾ thermal glass unit constructed by local artisans.
The creation of this mobile bedroom was that of Raniero Campigotto, manager of the well-known lodge, the Rifugio Col Gallina.
A stay in the Starlight Room not only allows you the view of a lifetime, but it also comes with breakfast, dinner and a musical playlist to set the mood. The cost for this unforgettable experience is 300 euros per night.
