Southwestern Cheese Fondue

Add a southwestern twist to your fondue night. This Southwestern Cheese Fondue is bursting with flavors of chilies and pepper jack cheese.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 cups Mexican lager
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 lbs pepper jack cheese
  • 1 can diced roasted green chilies

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan heat beer and garlic until simmering.
  • Meanwhile whisk the cornstarch and the water together in a small bowl. Whisk into beer and bring to a boil. Turn the heat to low and add in cheese and green chilies. Stir until fully melted.
  • Transfer mixture to a fondue pot and keep warm. Serve with bread, tortilla chips, and raw vegetables.

Notes

Serve with raw vegetables like broccoli, red peppers, and cauliflower.
We like to use beers like Dos Equis or Pacifico.
