'Southern Charm’ Star Austen Kroll Talks Beef And Bad Blood With Costar JT Thomas

Austen Kroll, reality TV star in "Southern Charm", has not forgotten the beef he had with his co-star, Jarret "JT" Thomas. During season 9, tensions between the two were so strong that they even came to blows after JT Thomas heavily criticized Kroll and attempted to perform a "f---boy exorcism" during their reunion.

Kroll, who talked to PEOPLE, decided to hold back and be the "better man" during "Southern Charm" season 10, which started on Thursday, December 5. He, however, did not hold back on his comments about Thomas. "If you have to be around him, you're old enough to know it's just going to be awful, awful, awful," he told the outlet. "Every time that you see him, you just don't want to punch him in the face. I am trying my hardest in the beginning to fight these [tendencies]."

Understandably, at least from Kroll's point of view, he is struggling to find a way to be around Thomas, who, according to Kroll, "slandered" him during season 9. "I don't trust him as far as I can throw him, which actually I could probably throw him pretty far, if we're being honest," Kroll said. So that's where my head is."

A Tense Interaction

During the season 10 premiere, Thomas and Kroll got the chance to talk. However, Thomas appeared to be willing to throw more gasoline into the fire. "After my near-death experience, I was thinking about you," Thomas said. "I think I was a little harsh on you during the exorcism. I'm happy as hell for you that you got a girlfriend. So, I got something for you."

Then, Thomas gifted Kroll a cane, a gesture that neither Kroll nor Patricia Altshul appreciated. "I don't know what in the hell he was thinking. It was kind of a stupid gift in my estimation," Athschul said.

While the physical confrontation is a thing of the past, Kroll still believes there is bad blood between him and Thomas. "You don't just slander someone with horrible and awful things for as long as he did at the reunion and then expect it to all be cool," Kroll said.

Unfortunately, it appears that time and distance will be the only things that can help Austen Kroll and JT Thomas finally bury the hatchet. In November, Thomas announced he was leaving the show. "I no longer wish to participate in any ways moving forward with the TV show," he wrote in an Instagram post. "I will leave it at that for now.. While I work on next steps to recover both physically and mentally from what has been an extremely challenging & exhausting year."
