Walker Montgomery, the son of John Michael Montgomery, is now married to fellow musician Krista Slaubaugh of Tigirlily Gold.

The couple met in 2023 at a concert in Kansas City. Walker proposed to Krista in North Carolina in May 2025.
The Son of John Michael Montgomery Had an "Elevated Western" Theme at His Wedding
As PEOPLE reports, the "elevated western" ceremony took place in Thompson's Station, Tennessee, on Friday, Oct. 23. It was officiated by Walker's childhood pastor, Rev. Holly Fuqua.
The 130 guests were encouraged to come dressed in "black-tie western" style and bring boots for dancing. The bride and groom both wore custom boots at the reception.
"We both are country music artists, so it felt very natural to have our wedding reflect our day-to-day lives," said Slaubaugh.
The schedule for the special day differed from most, beginning with Walker and Slaubaugh sharing handwritten vows over morning coffee.
"We travel so much for work that when we do get to have morning coffee together, we cherish that time and it always makes the day better," said Slaubaugh.
The couple also took all their pictures and filmed all their videos before the outdoor ceremony so they could "relax" and "enjoy" the event after they said, "I do."
The Couple Branded Their Initials Into a Pair of Boots
At the ceremony, Walker and Krista exchanged traditional vows. They then branded "K+W" into a pair of boots to symbolize their "quiet, calm, steady love."
"I love that Walker always makes me extremely safe and protected," said Krista. "He is honest and respects and supports me chasing my dreams. He is also extremely funny, and he is truly the one person in this world who I can't get enough of.
She then added, "He is an extremely strong and smart human, and we make each other better people every single day. We love to travel and make memories together, but more importantly, we enjoy everyday life the most."
Walker added that he loves Krista's optimism.
"Whether it's people, places or situations, she can always find the positives in whatever it is. I just simply love being around her," he said. "She puts me in a good mood, and she is my best friend."
