The Sunday Night Football theme we've all come to know and love is getting replaced by a reworked Carrie Underwood hit.
According to ABC News, the fall season will be kicked off with the premiere of "Oh, Sunday Night," the football telecast's new theme song. Instead of the ten year old track that was inspired by Joan Jett's "I Hate Myself for Loving You," producers decided to form their new theme around Underwood's hit single with Miranda Lambert, "Somethin' Bad."
"It has such a great stomp-clap, a 'We Will Rock You' kind of feel to it," Underwood said. "This is such a high energy song."
Underwood took over the job of singing the theme song in 2013, filling the shoes of fellow country star Faith Hill.
