Slow Cooker Pinto Beans

We love that these Slow Cooker Pinto Beans require no soaking the night before! Start these beans in the morning to have a big bowl of them for dinner.

  • 1 lb dried pinto beans
  • 7 1/2 cups water
  • 2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper


  • In your slow cooker add the beans, water, crushed red pepper, salt, and pepper. Stir. Cover and cook on LOW until beans are tender, about 7-9 hours. Serve.


Serve the beans as a side dish or use them as a part of your main.
Top the beans with chopped cilantro for a bit of freshness.
