The letter was sent on Monday, Aug. 31, and then reported to the authorities yesterday, Sep. 1, according to the New York Post. The email asked the hotel's front desk staff to pass the threat to the "Raise Your Glass" singer.
What Did the Email to Pink Say?
In addition to the disturbing threat against Pink, the email also referenced the $21.5 million townhouse the pop singer recently purchased in Greenwich Village. The hotel is also in the same New York City neighborhood.
It's not yet known if the 46-year-old was at the hotel when the email was received. The NYPD did not have any information on the threat. No injuries have been reported. No arrests have been made.
The Singer Recently Moved to New York
Earlier this year, on an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Pink, who was serving as guest host, explained that she moved to the Big Apple for her family.
"We actually moved here because I am an amazing mom and also so Willow could study theatre and experience more Broadway," she said.
At the time, the future of Clarkson's show was unclear, and several reports said Pink might take over as the permanent host. The "Get the Party Started" singer later cleared up those rumors in a now-deleted Instagram video.
"Just in a continuation of debunking all of the sources that we've got going on in the world," she wrote. "I'm not taking over 'The Kelly Clarkson Show.' I'm doing a fun thing for my buddy Kelly, because it's a fun thing. If I wanted a talk show, I would not have to audition. I would just have one, and it would be amazing, not something I'm currently researching or looking for in my busy, busy, busy world."
