If things continue as they have been, New York Fashion Week will need to provide a warning of potential violence in the coming years. The latest altercation to emerge from the popular fashion event has seen singer-songwriter Cara get into what has been alleged to be a physical altercation with another attendee.

"It got physical," a source told Page Six.
The alleged incident is said to have taken place when Cara attended Bibhu Mohapatra's runway show. She was reportedly escorted to her seat, which was later revealed to belong to someone else. It's unlikely good seats for the event come cheap, so the attendee in question vented their frustration.
"This woman was making a huge scene, insisting it was her seat and even saying she had sold her soul to get it," Page Six's source said.
Cara was reportedly informed by others in her vicinity that she was being 'inappropriate' for sitting in the attendee's seat.
"[Another] woman... dug her nails into Cara and physically pulled her out of the seat," the source told Page Six.
Unfortunately, the alleged incident involving Cara has become the primary talking point from the runway show, which takes away from the whole point of the event.
Cara Has Since Confirmed the Altercation Took Place
When speaking with Page Six, Cara confirmed the altercation did indeed take place. She also shared her own frustration at the physicality that was involved with the disagreement.
"It's Fashion Week, not a fight club! If there's an issue over a seat, you let the staff handle it. You don't put your hands on someone over a front row seat. It's simply not that serious," Cara said.
Cara isn't the only person to have confirmed the altercation took place. When speaking with Page Six, the woman who is now being accused of assault shared her account of the incident.
"I noticed it getting a little heated [between her and the other woman]," she told us, "and I just touched her very lightly [to assure her it'll get sorted]. I was trying to be helpful and she shrieked she was being assaulted! She said it out loud, and I thought, 'this is why I don't go to fashion shows.'"
Who would have thought that New York Fashion Week could become so violent? Hopefully, this isn't a sign of things to come for the event, and everything goes back to normal in the coming years.
