Singer Almost Cancels Concert Over "Gross" Dental Drama

Cara Delevingne shared with an audience in Berlin, Germany, that she was able to make it to the stage thanks to a dentist.

Concerts get canceled all the time for a variety of reasons. Some are over safety concerns, while others are just because the headliners are extremely exhausted.

Which is why it warms our hearts a little when we hear a story about an artist who, despite whatever is going on personally, still feels the show must go on. Such is the case with model-turned-singer Cara Delevingne, who shared with an audience in Berlin, Germany, that she was grateful to step up to the microphone after some "pretty gross dental work."

This Singer Thanked a Dentist

The June 1 concert at silent green Cultural Quarter was the first stop on Delevingne's tour. She has additional stops in London, England, and Paris, France, this week. There are also several stops in the United States later this June.

The 33-year-old actress, who appeared in the film Paper Towns, revealed that she almost didn't take the stage that night.

"I just wanted to say a little thank you to the German people, but also to the Berlin dentistry society and one specific person. I don't know if he's here, but his name is Dr. Felix," she said.

"Without him, I wouldn't have been able to do the show tonight because, I'm not going to go into it, but I had some pretty gross dental work that had to be done very late at night," Delevingne continued. "So, thank you. I'll probably have to go and see him after this as well."

Delevingne has an album coming out later this summer. Some of the songs she debuted in Berlin explore her struggles with addiction and her mental health.

Surprisingly, Cara Delevingne Is Not Alone

Last year, LeAnn Rimes powered through a performance after the bridge in her front teeth fell out in the middle of a song. The show went on as she pushed in her teeth every few moments.

"It was the most epic experience, ever," Rimes explained. "I don't usually have firsts in my career. That was a first and hopefully a last."
