The ongoing legal dispute between late singer Selena Quintanilla's siblings just took a nasty turn.

According to a Friday (September 11) report from Rolling Stone, the singer's brother Abraham "A.B." Quintanilla III is officially suing his sister Suzette Quintanilla-Arriago. Over profits related to their late sister's estate.
Selena's Siblings Involved In Heated Legal Battle
Per legal documents filed on September 10th in Nueces County, Texas, Quintanilla III has brought legal action against his sister. For an unspecified amount. However, according to the lawsuit, he is seeking over $1 million in recoupment for damages and monetary relief.
In the documents obtained by the outlet, Quintanilla III says that his sister Suzette has not provided him "with a complete accounting of the assets, liabilities, revenues, expenses, transactions, distributions, and net profits." He also says she has "failed or refused to pay [him] the full amount of net profits and proceeds due to him."
Suzette took over as the executrix of the estate. After their father, Abraham Quintanilla II, passed the duties over to her in 2016. He passed away in 2025.
Quintanilla III initially addressed the ongoing legal dispute with his family in a social media post. He claimed that Suzette and her attorneys were "notified of a lawsuit related to her fiduciary duties," according to the outlet.
The issue then blossomed into something bigger than any of them could have imagined. Suzette and Selena's mother engaged in a back-and-forth with Quintanilla III. The two women denied that any such lawsuit existed.
"Suzette has never been served with any lawsuit. She has received no court-filed complaint, summons, petition, or other legal pleading concerning the allegations A.B. is describing," their post read.
However, Quintanilla's attorney Jeff Lerman confirmed the lawsuit was in fact real in a video posted to his social media account on September 5. Less than a week before the lawsuit was officially filed.
In the video, he promises that he and AB would "uncover quite a bit of fiduciary breaches of fiduciary duty by Suzette. Where she has either failed to properly account for or failed to properly distribute assets of the estate."'
