Hear Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks and Maren Morris Team Up For 'Prove You Wrong'

Sheryl Crow called on two undisputed queens from different genres and generations when it came time to cut "Prove You Wrong," enlisting two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Stevie Nicks and country music superstar Maren Morris to split the empowerment ballad's verses and share its harmonies.

At its core, "Prove You Wrong" recaptures Crow's past magic with its sunshiny vibes and lyrics about living above a former flame's low expectations. It should sound comfortably familiar to Crow's longtime fans, while its overall theme fits Nicks and Morris' own penchants to defiantly stare down heartbreak.

It's the latest single off Crow's forthcoming Duets album, Threads. Prior singles include Johnny Cash collaboration "Redemption Day" and "Live Wire," featuring a different gobsmacking pair of talented women: Mavis Staples and Bonnie Raitt. Special guests on other tracks include Jason Isbell and Chris Stapleton.

As if the dream Nicks and Morris collaboration isn't flooring enough on its own, Crow makes the list of talents in the room even more daunting. The backing band includes rock songwriter and producer Waddy Wachtel and a two current members of The Eagles: Joe Walsh and Vince Gill.

Crow's country and roots-centric album may be her last. In recent interviews, she's teased abandoning the format in favor of releasing digital singles. It's a similar approach considered by Blake Shelton as veteran stars maneuver the digital age.

"Prove You Wrong" Lyrics

It wouldn't take much to prove you wrong
It wouldn't take much to prove you wrong
I got my mind made up and my high heels on
It wouldn't take much to prove you wrongYou said if you left
I'd be laid up in a bed of tears
I'd be going crazy 'cause without you baby
I'd be sad and lonely 'round hereIt wouldn't take much to prove you wrong
It wouldn't take much to prove you wrong
I got my mind made up and my high heels on
It wouldn't take much to prove you wrong, no
It wouldn't take much to prove you wrongI know you've told our friends
I won't find another man like you
But no one's gonna hold me, no one's gonna love me
Nothin' like the way doIt wouldn't take much to prove you wrong
It wouldn't take much to prove you wrong
I got my mind made up and my high heels on
It wouldn't take much to prove you wrong, no
It wouldn't take much to prove you wrong

You've been too busy talking
To even see me walking

It wouldn't take much, it wouldn't take much
It wouldn't take much, yeah
It wouldn't take much, it wouldn't take much
It wouldn't take much

It wouldn't take much to prove you wrong
It wouldn't take much to prove you wrong
I got my mind made up and my high heels on
It wouldn't take much to prove you wrong, no
It wouldn't take much to prove you wrong

It wouldn't take much, it wouldn't take much
It wouldn't take much, yeah
Oh no, it wouldn't take much, it wouldn't take much
It wouldn't take much

And I will prove you wrong, baby
(It wouldn't take much, it wouldn't take much)
(It wouldn't take much, yeah)
I got my high heels on, baby
(It wouldn't take much, it wouldn't take much)
And I will prove you wrong
(It wouldn't take much)
I got my high heels on now, baby
(It wouldn't take much, it wouldn't take much)
(It wouldn't take much)
No no, it wouldn't take much
(It wouldn't take much, it wouldn't take much)
(It wouldn't take much)
No no no...
